The MPA are thrilled to announce that Romney is heading to our shores to share her extensive knowledge at our annual Magazine Conference on 26th May. We’ve also arranged a series of exclusive MPA sessions, giving our members the opportunity to work directly with Romney.
With five years at The NET-A-PORTER group and nine before that at BBC Worldwide, Romney has always been at the leading edge of technology enabled media. She was at NET-A-PORTER when famously, in 2014, they launched a print magazine product as an extension of their content-led e-commerce business model. You’d be hard-pressed to find anyone with better experience than Romney in understanding how digital, print and social platforms converge – as well as how media and retailing can combine.
Romney Whitehead has more than a decade of experience within the field of Digital Asset Management (DAM). She has recently left NET-A-PORTER where she headed up digital content platforms which include the DAM and CMS systems, as well as print and web publishing, that manage the extensive variety of digital assets and media produced by the company.
Prior to that she worked as Digital Asset Manager at BBC Worldwide, facilitating the management and digital delivery of BBC Magazine and Brand content both internally, and to global licensing and syndication partners. She is on the editorial board for the Journal of Digital Media Management and a regular speaker within the circuit of DAM conferences. She was one of the first two people to graduate from the inaugural Masters in DAM, (MADAM), programme from King's College London.
Romney will be speaking at our annual Magazine Conference on 26th May. See here for more details about the 2016 Magazine Conference.
