Advertising Sales Manager
Weekend Gardener magazine, NZ's fortnightly gardening magazine, established 1998, is wanting to appoint a new advertising manager.
We are a small, independent publisher based in Newton, Auckland, publishing fortnightly (24 issues a year ) and four quarterlies. The magazine has an excellent national circulation and avid readership of 137,000.
We are looking for a self starter who is also a team worker, a proven advertising sales person, particularly with experience in magazines.
You will be part of a small team producing a lively, much-loved magazine in a niche market category with the opportunity of influencing the direction of the publication and its growing digital area of its e-newsletter and websites.
This is a full time, hands-on role working directly with clients and some agencies.
The person must be computer savvy, able to present imaginative advertising proposals to new prospects, cold call and meet with clients.
Remuneration combines base salary and commission.
